Anthony Dowell serves as an adjunct instructor for the Mid-Atlantic Center for Emergency Management (MACEM).  As a subject matter expert in his field, Anthony developed the Information/Communication Technology pathway curriculum based on Esri ArcGIS Desktop and open-source software for the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Career Technology Education (CTE) Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (HSEP) program.  The curriculum is anchored to workplace competencies needed in the field today and positions the student for successful completion of the newly released Esri ArcGIS Desktop Entry certification.  “I commend Anthony for his expertise in the field of GIS and ability to translate that knowledge into meaningful courseware preparing students for a challenging and rewarding career,” said Kathy Francis, Executive Director of the MACEM.  Anthony continues to support the professional development of MSDE GIS instructors, serves as an Esri certified proctor, and supports the continued growth of MACEM technology courses.

Congratulations, Anthony!
