SUPPORT MACEM&PS

MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

As a community college department first and foremost, our students have big dreams – and they work hard to bring them to life.

But whether it’s the cost of a textbook for that one extra class on their favorite topic, the financial burden of a disaster deployment, or something in between, they too often face down finances as one more hurdle along the way.

Supporting any of our scholarship programs means lending a critical hand at the most meaningful time, and helping the next generation of public safety leaders earn their seat at the table, no matter their background or circumstances.

MACEM&PS Scholarship Fund

Our department’s general purpose scholarship fund, created to help any MACEM&PS student reduce any of the everyday financial barriers they might face – from times where “low cost” textbooks are still too expensive, to times when a little help paying for one more course will make the difference between graduating or not.

Carolyn Smith-Clark & Dr. Burton A. Clark Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by nationally-recognized Executive Fire Officer and author Dr. Burt Clark in memory of his beloved wife, Carolyn, the Smith-Clark Fund works to help women study, enter, and lead in the fire service. In addition to providing scholarship funds to female students pursuing Fire Service Administration degrees, the Fund supports regular panel discussions and community events to showcase the contributions of women to the field of firefighting.
