The Mid-Atlantic Center for Emergency Management at Frederick Community College is the approved sponsor of a statewide Emergency Management Specialist Registered Apprenticeship Program. The non-traditional program was approved by the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation’s Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Council in January 2018. The program provides on-the-job training and academic courses over a three-year period to develop employees for emergency management, business continuity, and crisis management. Public and private sector employers with positions in emergency management-related duties are invited to participate. Employers may receive partial salary and educational benefit support through various Workforce Development Programs. If you have the need for entry level crisis or emergency management staff, please contact Kathy Francis at kfrancis@frederick.edu or 240-629-7804..
